Your trust, our identity

Handcrafted Gaya sweets, preserving a family legacy since 1911.

our story

A legacy carried forward, one batch at a time

For more than a century, Sri Ram Tilkut Bhandar has been part of sweet memories for families in and beyond Gaya. Our customers choose us for winter delicacies, festival sweets, offerings for loved ones, celebrations at home, and gifts that carry the familiar taste of tradition.

Many relationships with our customers have continued across generations. A person who once visited our shop with their parents now returns with their own children. This lasting trust is our greatest achievement and our biggest responsibility.

We do not see our work as simply selling sweets. We see it as preserving a legacy—one that connects the flavours of the past with the celebrations of today.

From Tilkut and Anarsa to Tilgood and a growing range of traditional sweets, Sri Ram Tilkut Bhandar remains committed to bringing you authentic flavours made with care.

milestones

The years that shaped us

  1. 1911

The Foundation: Late Shri Ramdas Keshri set up a small tilkut kadhai on Tekari Road, Gaya, cooking through the winter months for the neighbourhood around the temple and laying the foundation for Sri Ram Tilkut Bhandar.

  2. Family legacy

Following the founder, his son Damodar Das Keshri took charge of the business, building its reputation. The third generation—his sons Dhirendra Kumar Keshri and Randhir Kumar Keshri—now carry the tradition forward, preserving the time-honored recipe, handcrafted quality, and authentic taste without compromise.

  3. 2000s

A Cultural Landmark: The shop earned widespread fame across Gaya as an essential Makar Sankranti destination, where families regularly place standing orders for the season.

  4. 2024

Expansion to New Godam: A new branch opened on New Godam, Tutwari Road, Gaya, introducing a wider product range while keeping the hand-cooked tradition intact.

  5. Today & upcoming

Sri Ram Tilkut Bhandar continues to prepare small-batch, hand-crafted tilkut at Tekari Road and New Godam while shipping products across India. Expanding further, a brand-new branch is opening on Gurudwara Road, Gaya, Bihar.
