A Legacy of Sweetness, Since 1911
Welcome to Sri Ram Tilkut Bhandar, the home of Gaya’s most authentic and celebrated delicacies. Established in 1911, we are more than just a sweet shop; we are a culinary landmark in the heart of Gaya, Bihar. For over a century, we have preserved the ancient art of making Tilkut, serving generations of customers who seek the true taste of tradition
Located on the bustling Tekari Road, our journey began with a simple mission: to create sweets that capture the essence of our culture. What started as a humble endeavor has grown into a renowned institution. We take pride in being one of the oldest and most trusted names in the region, keeping the legacy of the “Magadh” taste alive.
We believe that true flavor lies in the process. Our Tilkut is not mass-produced; it is handcrafted using the traditional method of beating (kutai) the sesame and jaggery mixture to perfection. This labor-intensive technique ensures that every bite is impossibly crispy, light, and melts in your mouth—a texture that machines simply cannot replicate.
While our Gur (Jaggery) and Chini (Sugar) Tilkuts are legendary, our passion for purity extends to all our offerings:
- Anarsa: Deep-fried in pure ghee and topped with sesame, available in soft Mawa and crispy variations.
- Lai: The classic Khoya Lai, rich and indulgent.
- Peda: Traditional Kesar Peda made from pure milk solids.
At Sri Ram Tilkut Bhandar, we don’t just sell sweets; we serve memories. Whether it is the warmth of Makar Sankranti or a gift for a loved one, we invite you to taste a piece of history.
